To be a garden photographer is to engage a kind of second sight—to imagine, plan, dig, plant, tend—all in anticipation of the interplay between light, life and beauty that we hope will come. But these are living things amongst other living things and we and our shovels, dirty knees and lenses don’t make the rules. Indeed, there are no rules, at least none that we impose. But look here; really see. There are rewards aplenty.
